We offer safe, professional tandem skydiving in the scenic Shenandoah Valley with stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the famous Shenandoah River.

We started skydiving because we love it and we opened Skydive Front Royal because we want to share the love with everyone in the Northern Virginia area. We strive to give each tandem customer the same thrilling adrenaline rush experience that got us hooked on the sport. Our goal is to make sure that from the moment you enter the terminal to the moment you leave, you have a positive experience with us!

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear?
Your clothing for skydiving in Northern Virginia should be comfortable and loose-fitting. Athletic wear or activewear items like track suit, yoga pants, or t-shirts are our first choices for what to wear skydiving when the weather is nice. Jeans are not the most comfortable.
How far is Skydive Front Royal from Washington, DC?
Not far at all! Located in Northern Virginia, Front Royal is about 70 miles west of the capital. Our town is right off I-66, with our DZ being about 15 minutes from the exit.
How old do you have to be to go skydiving?
The United States Parachuting Association mandates that all tandem students must be 18 years old in order to participate in a parachute jump. No exceptions! Please bring a valid photo ID as proof of your date of birth.
What’s the weight limit?
Tandem students must be 250 lbs or less in order to make a skydive. Your height to weight proportions are also important in making sure the tandem harness fits properly for your jump. An additional fee may be applied for guests over 200 lbs. Each guest is subject to being weighed, fully clothed and with shoes on, at our facility prior to the skydive. Above all else, safety first.
What height will I jump from?
We will jump up to 2 miles high.
Does Skydive Front Royal offer gift cards?
