The United States Parachuting Association mandates that all tandem students must be 18 years old in order to participate in a parachute jump. No exceptions! Please bring a valid government-issued photo ID as proof of your date of birth.

We will jump up to 2 miles high.

Tandem students must be 220 lbs or less in order to make a skydive. Your height to weight proportions are also important in making sure the tandem harness fits properly for your jump. An additional fee may be applied for guests over 200 lbs. Each guest is subject to being weighed, fully clothed and with shoes on, at our facility prior to the skydive. Above all else, safety first.

For safety reasons and in accordance with United States Parachute Association (USPA) regulations, personal cameras and phones are not allowed during tandem skydives. The USPA requires a minimum of 200 jumps before a skydiver can carry a camera in freefall, and since our dropzone follows their safety guidelines, we strictly adhere to this rule.

That said, you’re welcome to take as many pictures and videos as you’d like on the ground—before and after your jump. Our staff is happy to help capture those moments for you, free of charge. And if you’d like your skydive professionally filmed, we offer high-quality photo and video packages so you can relive every second of your experience.

Not far at all! Located in Northern Virginia, Front Royal is about 70 miles west of the capital. Our town is right off I-66, with our DZ being about 15 minutes from the exit.

While we don’t offer discounts based on profession or student status, we do provide a cash discount for all customers. When you book, you’ll pay a $50 deposit by credit card. If you choose to pay your remaining balance in cash on-site, you’ll receive:

• $10 off your skydive

• $20 off if you purchase a media add-on (photos, video, or both)

Skydiving is highly weather-dependent, and we follow strict FAA and USPA safety guidelines to keep every jump safe. We may delay or reschedule your skydive for any of the following reasons:

• Rain or drizzle

• Low cloud ceilings that prevent us from reaching jump altitude

• Sustained winds over 20 mph

• Wind gusts that differ by more than 7 mph from the sustained wind

  (For example: 15 mph steady wind with 25 mph gusts would be too much of a spread)

• High winds aloft that could affect canopy control

• Thunderstorms or lightning in the area

To put it in perspective: tandem parachutes typically have a forward airspeed of around 20 mph. If surface winds are stronger than that, your canopy could actually start drifting backward, which is not safe—so no jumping in those conditions.

Weather conditions can change quickly, so final decisions are made by our experienced team day-of. If you’re driving from more than an hour away, we recommend calling or texting us before you leave to confirm conditions are still favorable.

We take two tandem jumpers per flight in our Cessna 182, each paired with a licensed instructor. If you’re coming with a group, we fly back-to-back loads so everyone can enjoy the experience together—cheering each other on during takeoff, freefall, and landing.
